Joelle "JoJo" Siwa is the daughter of Jessalynn Siwa. She was previously a contestant on Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition in its second season, finishing in fifth place.

 

JoJo made a small appearance in the fourth season of Dance Moms. She has joined the ALDC elite junior competition team in season 5.

JoJo loves anything with sparkle and hairbows (the latter earning her the nickname "JoJo with the bow bow" while on AUDC.)

Jessalynn makes all her bows.

Her favorite dance she has ever performed (c. 2013) is her "Italian Love" solo.

By the middle of Season 5 filming, JoJo said she had become especially close to Mackenzie, and the two were often by each other in photos. JoJo also said she had become close friends to all the girls by this time.

She would love to do a duet with Asia Monet Ray.

Her favorite styles of dance to perform are jazz and hip hop because they have so much fun energy.

JoJo's favorite dance tricks are turns and leaps because she can be creative with them.

When she's not dancing, JoJo is either practicing the piano, going on Instagram or Twitter, or watching TV.

After being eliminated in AUDC, JoJo said she was rooting for Kalani (owing to their friendship). JoJo promised to "slap her [Kalani] as hard as I can", in the event Kalani failed to win the competition.

Jessalynn openly bleaches JoJo's hair blonde, from a natural brown color.

JoJo is the third AUDC cast member to compete with the ALDC. The first being Asia Monet Ray and the second being Kalani Hilliker.

She has difficulty pronouncing her r's, which Abby has criticized in the past.

While on AUDC, rivals nicknamed her and her mom's act as the "Jessalynn and JoJo circus," a play on a Disney series aimed at preschool children.

She is represented by MSA.

Abby has said she liked JoJo and she was fun, but that JoJo was really brought in by producers; and that she would have preferred someone with amazing feet and legs, or someone much younger to bring their average age down. (With JoJo, the average age of the team is exactly 12.0 years as calculated after January 1, 2015.)

According to Abby, JoJo needs to work on her timing, largely because she has not learned it by taking regular tap classes.

JoJo naturally prefers to watch Abby when she performs onstage, rather than the judges.

JoJo says she likes the opportunity the shows have given her, including travel, and working with the people. She has noted that she went from 291 Instagram followers prior to appearing on AUDC, to 291,000 followers by the time of being cast on Dance Moms.

She did her first solo when she was two.
